National Grid Electricity Distribution has teamed up with the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) to offer households free, independent advice through an easy-to-use online tool designed to help them make informed energy decisions this winter.

The Energy Choices Tool gives personalised recommendations based on each customer's home, lifestyle and budget, with clear guidance on benefits, costs and practical next steps for each option.

With just a few clicks, customers can access practical and actionable tips to manage energy use more effectively and feel confident about their choices.

Nicki Johnson, Social Obligations Manager at National Grid Electricity Distribution, said: “We put our customers at the heart of everything we do. The Energy Choices Tool is all about making life easier and helping households feel confident about their energy decisions.

“We’re proud to work with the Centre for Sustainable Energy to provide simple, effective advice that supports our communities.”

Charlotte Johnson, Director of Research & Analysis at the Centre for Sustainable Energy, said: “Our energy market is changing and there are more opportunities for households to save money by using greener energy. However, there is a real lack of information that helps households know what options are available and which ones will work for them. The Energy Choices Tool provides this support.”

The partnership reflects National Grid Electricity Distribution's commitment to supporting customers across the Midlands as well as other regions it serves, with practical solutions that make a real difference.

Customers are encouraged to try the energy choices tool and see how easy it is to make informed choices. Visit National Grid - Energy Choices Tool to explore practical tips
