A Long Eaton-based solicitors firm has been rewarded for its efforts in decorating the company building to mark and take part in recent Carnival festivities.
SGC Solicitors based on Derby Road in the town was declared by Long Eaton Carnival Committee members as having the "best decorated premises" of the firms which entered with the theme for the Carnival weekend having been on the subject of 'board games'.
A statement from the LECCA said: "Congratulations and well done for a fantastic display. Thank you so much for everyone who made the effort and put out bunting and other decorations, in loving memory of our committee member Irene Parker who was our Bunting Queen. It is overwhelming when walking around the parade route, I'm sure Irene would have loved seeing the displays too.
The bunting princesses have taken up the challenge to honor the lovingly made bunting from Irene, and displayed around the parade route, along with businesses and houses."
