Officials from the Long Eaton Town Deal regeneration board have given an update.
£25million of investment will transform Long Eaton. Erewash Borough Council helped to clinch the government money in a coveted Town Deal for the borough.
In an online video, Chair, Richard Ledger said all five projects were reaching major milestones. He referenced new lighting and the creation of an events field at West Park and of progress with new canal bridges.
Borough council leader James Dawson said careful town hall outbuilding conversion work continues on an old stable block to create work space for local businesses and that, after site acquisitions, a partner was now being selected to redevelop Galaxy Row through a tender process. He added that High Street redesign work was also ongoing with Derbyshire County Council.
