A man has been charged with drug offences and assaulting a police officer after a warrant was carried out at a home in Sawley, near Long Eaton.
Officers carried out the warrant at a property in Peveril Crescent on 7th October where they found what was suspected to be cannabis.
Jan Luca Khan, of Peveril Crescent, was subsequently charged with the following drug offences:
- Being concerned in the supply crack cocaine
- Being concerned in the in supply of cocaine
- Being concerned in the supply of heroin
- Being concerned in the supply of cannabis
- Possession of cannabis
The 24-year-old was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm of a police officer who suffered a broken finger during an incident in Derby Road, Draycott, on 12th July 2024.
After being charged he appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on 8th October where he was remanded to prison to appear at court at a later date.
