
A man has been charged with four offences following an incident in Ilkeston.
Police Officers were called to reports of an altercation between two men in Wilton Place, Ilkeston, on Friday 15th August and were at the scene within six minutes of receiving the call at around 11:30am. A later statement from Derbyshire Police said that the two men were "known to each other.,"
A man, aged in his 50s, sustained a minor arm injury, and was taken to hospital for treatment. The injury was thought to have been caused by a knife which was later recovered.
46-year-old Jason Thomas has now been charged in relation to the incident. The Ilkeston man has been charged with section 18 attempted wounding with intent, affray, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and assaulting a police officer.
He appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on Tuesday 18th August where he was remanded into custody to appear in court at a later date.
