Police Community Support Officers on patrol in Sandiacre have taken action after a moped caught their attention in the village.
Upon stopping the individual with the bike, it soon became clear that, whilst not being ridden at the time, it was in an unroadworthy condition, had no displayed vehicle reference number and that its original identity had been disguised.
As bikes of this type are often used in other criminal activity, further investigation work was carried out, but the individual could not provide any vehicle paperwork or proof of ownership.
Their details were therefore taken and the moped was seized - suspected stolen.
No further details have been released.
