Police officers from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Team have taken action whilst out on patrol in West Hallam.
During a patrol along the A609, a dark coloured Range Rover was seen being driven along the road with the driver being given a signal to stop.
Having complied with the request, the driver was subsequently reported for section 165 based motoring offences.
Under this 1988 act, a driver may be required to provide their name and address, those of the owner of the vehicle being driven as well as an insurance certificate, and a test certificate.
The nature of the stop in this instance is not known, but the vehicle was subsequently seized.
