Derbyshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts was on hand to greet 60 new recruits to Derbyshire Constabulary during their training at Ripley Headquarters.
The new officers will initially work within response policing, attending 999 calls and working alongside colleagues, including Safer Neighbourhood Teams, to ensure our communities continue to be a safe place to live, work and visit.
Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts said: “These are the next generation of police officers and I wish them the best of luck in their career. Great people are at the heart of any successful organisation and I know that Derbyshire Constabulary is committed to recruiting the very best talent to make our county an even safer place to live.
“Policing can be challenging, but also very rewarding. I believe that by working together and pulling in the same direction, we can deliver safer and stronger communities for everyone across Derbyshire.
