Police officers have raided a property in Long Eaton as part of the execution of a drugs warrant.
A Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant was conducted at an address at Milton Terrace on 1st July and, with a need to gain access to the property quickly, officers dispensed with a usual approach to knock on the door and, instead, opted for forced entry, breaking through the door by using a ram device.
Suspected Class A Drugs, Weapons and other drug dealing items were seized from the property and two arrests were made, which allowed investigations to progress.
Acting Sergeant Limb of Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "This is great example of the wider community coming together to show that they will not tolerate drugs and anti-social behaviour. We will always look to develop any information we receive about illegal activity and investigate further if appropriate. We will continue to target drug misuse, crime and anti-social behaviour to keep our communities safe.''
This action forms part of a Police approach to addressing drug related issues through pro-active enforcement. If you have information about drugs being dealt in our community, you can contact officers in confidence at any time or report to Crimestoppers.
