Safe and Sound welcomes Education Expert Carol Ezis

Safe and Sound, a leading Derbyshire based charity dedicated to protecting children and young people from exploitation, has expressed delight following the appointment of Carol Ezis as its newest ambassador.

Carol, who recently retired from her role as Learning Director for Human Development at Derby Moor Spencer Academy, is seen as bringing a wealth of expertise, passion, and a deep commitment to safeguarding young people. Her support is seen as set to be invaluable in helping the charity expand its crucial work.

A statement said that Carol has a profound understanding of child and adolescent development, their emotional and psychological needs, and the vulnerabilities they might face.  It added that this direct insight into the lives of young people, coupled with her extensive knowledge and practical experience in safeguarding policies, has made her an exceptional advocate for Safe and Sound's mission. 

Her strong connections within the local community and the education sector have been recognised and are also expected to be instrumental in raising awareness in schools, fostering new partnerships, and ensuring that more young people and families receive the vital support they need.

Commenting on her new role, Carol said, "I am incredibly pleased to join Safe and Sound as an ambassador. The charity's dedication to safeguarding vulnerable children and empowering families is truly inspiring, and I look forward to contributing to their vital work."
