Long Eaton Police officers are appealing for witnesses and information after an assault in the town.
Officers were called to the incident in Lynden Avenue at 8:50am on Monday 29th December after two men suffered stab wounds.
One of the men has been taken to hospital where his injuries are described as serious.
The other suffered minor injuries.
A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of affray. He was detained in police custody.
Both men are known to each other and there is no wider risk to the public.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident as well as anyone with any information.
