E-scooter seizures continue in Derbyshire

Derbyshire Police officers continue to seize illegal scooters on county roads, with 31 escooters confiscated in April - the equivalent of one taken off the streets every day. In total, more than 820 e-scooters have been seized since officers began a ‘seize first’ approach in November 2024. A mad-cap three-wheel charity stunt by Erewash’s Mayor has given a second boost to the thriving local Scouts movement – hot on the heels of a council grant making a “massive difference” for hundreds of the organisation’s big-hearted and adventurous youngsters.
