Ilkeston Police officers have issued an appeal for information after a robbery in the area, in which a 15-year-old boy had an e-scooter stolen. The incident happened on Saturday 11th July at Potters Lock, just off Monks Close, where the 15-year-old and his friend were fishing in the canal. The Science team worked with Myton Horticulture to design a brief that gave Year 1 T Level Science students the chance to apply their skills to a genuine industry challenge. Police and Borough Council partnership sees traffic operation in Long Eaton

A joint operation between local Police officers and the borough council has seen a traffic operation carried out in Long Eaton. The initiative saw Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team, Roads Policing and Licensing Team officials set up checks in Wilsthorpe Road. Over a two hour period, 13 tickets were issued for drivers/passengers not wearing their seatbelts, 5 tickets for drivers using their mobile phone and 2 for number plate offences. Man charged following assault in Ilkeston

A man has been charged following an assault in Ilkeston town centre. Derbyshire Police officers were called to reports that a man had been stabbed in South Street at about 6:30pm on Friday 10th July. The victim, a 41-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment. Having recently asked borough residents for help with naming six brand-new food waste vehicles after the rollout of new food waste collections started in March, Erewash Borough Council officials have announced the results. Developers behind a planned 37-mile electric powerline and a 121-mile underground CO2 pipeline are to pay a Derbyshire council to hire experts to combat the controversial schemes. Derbyshire Police officers are continuing to stop e-scooter riders and seize their vehicles after they have been seen being used illegally, as highlighted in a video featuring two recent stops made by the force's bikes team.
