Cordon put into place in Long Eaton after altercation between two men

Long Eaton Police officers have issued an appeal for information after two men became involved in a fight in the town centre. A statement from Derbyshire Police said that reports were received about an assault at around 11:15pm on Thursday 10th September, which led to a cordon being put into place in the Market Place, which remained in place on Friday morning 11th September whilst investigation work continued, with some local shops being forced to remain closed as a result. A Police officer has been assaulted whilst responding to an incident of anti-social behaviour involving e-bike and moped users in Long Eaton. A man has suffered serious injuries following a collision during a police pursuit. Officers had been pursuing a Volkswagen Golf which had failed to stop on the A6007 in Heanor just after 12.15pm on Tuesday 8th September.
