Two people have been arrested following a serious assault in Cotmanhay

Erewash Police Officers have issued an appeal after reports were received regarding an assault on Cotmanhay Road. Response crews made their way to the scene just after 12noon on Friday 26th June. On arrival, a man was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital. A 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have been arrested and are in police custody. Detectives investigating the stabbing of a man at a house in Ilkeston have issued an appeal for footage recorded around the time it happened. A 35-year-old man was assaulted inside a property in Drummond Road, at about 6:40pm on Saturday 20th June.
