07/09/2019: After nearly 10 years of delivering a truly local radio service to the residents of Erewash, Erewash Sound is delighted that the broadcast regulator, OFCOM has agreed to allow a second transmitter and a second frequency for the radio station to reach homes across Long Eaton and the south of the borough which currently experience poor reception of the 96.8FM service.
05/02/2010: The local First Responders Group are seeking volunteers. Organised by the Church Wilne Rotary Club and trained by the East Midlands Ambulance Service, volunteers are equipped with and trained on the use of essential medical equipment to be able to respond early to localised calls for help before paramedics arrive. To set up the new group, the Rotary Club will raise funds for the kit required. For more information, contact Colin Orrick on Derby 666865.
