LENS Wildlife Walk at Ulverscroft Nature Reserve - Monday 16th June 2025

Long Eaton Natural History Society officials are staging a visit to Ulverscroft Nature Reserve on Monday 16th June - meeting at 2pm.
To participate, meet at the second entrance to the reserve on left on Whitcroft Lane, approaching from the north (LE67 9PB - SK489126 - what three words: ethic.trumped.firmer).
Please car share as there is only space for 6 cars on site, ahead of a short climb, then downhill to Herbert's Meadow, with orchids before journeying back up through the woods alongside Longhorn cattle. The walk. which will be led by Phil Lee, can be boggy in places.
Please wear waterproof clothing and footwear. Walks can often me on muddy and uneven ground, however, if the weather is uncertain, please check that the event is going ahead. E-mail lensnaturalhistory @ gmail.com for more details.
LENS Membership costs £25 per year for all events, except 'specials'. All Wildlife Talks are £15. There is a cost for visitors of £2.50 per meeting.
