Tools with a mission
15/05/2020: During lockdown many people will have taken the opportunity to clear out sheds and garages and no doubt come across old tools and garden implements that they no longer want nor need but don’t know how to dispose of.
11/05/2020: A Long Eaton-based firm has declared its pride in signing a new corporate partnership agreement with NHS Charities Together.
30/04/2020: The Long Eaton and District 50+ Forum has started a project to collect unwanted shoes which can then be sent to adults and children in this country and abroad.
17/04/2020: More than 400 emergency food parcels have been sent to residents in need across the county with more to be delivered as part of an ongoing scheme being led by Derbyshire County Council. 
13/04/2020: All Saints and St Mary’s churches, Sawley, are carrying on with a programme of church services online during the lockdown for Covid-19.
01/04/2020: Organisers of the annual Long Eaton Carnival have cancelled the event for 2020.
20/03/2020: All 45 Derbyshire County Council-run libraries, the Buxton Museum and Art Gallery and the Derbyshire Record Office in Matlock are to temporarily close at 5pm today (Friday 20 March) to protect staff and customers using the services from the risk of coronavirus and to help to prevent its spread.
17/03/2020: Following on from last year’s successful Balanceability project, Erewash Borough Council’s Sport and Health Development team are once again offering places for their very popular bike courses for kids.

12/03/2020: A new Lead Member whose role will be to target the on-going drive to regenerate Ilkeston and Long Eaton town centres has been appointed by Erewash Borough Council.
03/03/2020: A local radio station kicked off tenth anniversary celebrations by presenting the Breakfast Show live from buses travelling throughout the Erewash borough.
