Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Police officers have taken action following a recent increase in incidents of shoplifting in a local supermarket. Thefts occurred from the Co-op on College Street. Officers have been working with the store in an effort to resolve the issue. Police officers in Long Eaton have issued an appeal for drivers to be mindful and keep roads and pavements clear of obstructions for everyone to access safely. The call came after reports were received about a vehicle which was described as having been "abandoned" in Devonshire Avenue on Saturday 10th October, causing a major obstruction to the pavement. Two men have been jailed for attacking a man in the street and stealing his bag in Long Eaton. The incident happened when the victim, who has a number of vulnerabilities, was outside a shop in Tamworth Road at just before 9:30pm on Saturday 30th May. Two men jailed for repeated crimes at Long Eaton supermarkets

Two men who targeted staff at two Long Eaton supermarkets over the course of Summer 2026 have been jailed. Karl Whyatt and Tom Davis centred their criminal activity at Aldi and Farmfoods in the town over the course of late July and early August 2026.
