04/05/2021: The Manna affordable food boxes scheme which launched last year has now extended so local people can collect boxes from All Saints in Sawley. 
07/04/2021: The Long Eaton and Sawley Food Bank and the Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and together provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
12/01/2021: Long Eaton Natural History Society Wildlife Group with the Friends of Forbes Hole invite you to follow the trail of decorated stones.  Can you find the twelve signs of Spring?
09/11/2020: Churches in Sawley and Long Eaton have launched a scheme to provide affordable food boxes for local people. 
13/07/2020: New water safety signs in memory of Owen Jenkins have been placed at sites across Long Eaton and at Beeston Weir as a part of a joint water safety campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of open water. 
05/02/2010: The Long Eaton Camera Club meets every Monday at the Sawley WI on Wilne Lane, Sawley, Long Eaton from 7.30pm until 10.00.
