Restoration of the royal coat of arms painting at All Sainst Church, Sawley

In 2019, the Mayor of Erewash discovered a huge painting in the vestry at the All Saints Church in Sawley. After some further research, the painting was found to be a royal coat of arms from 1767. Specialist painting conservators from the University of Lincoln took on the massive task of restoring the painting, Erewash Sound’s reporters spoke to them at the grand unveiling on 28th February.
