Spreading the message of water safety to young children – Nicola Jenkins & Sophie Johnson-Hill

OWEN Open Water Education Network was set up by Nicola Jenkins, mum of Owen, who tragically and heroically lost his own life while rescuing two of his friends who were struggling in the Beeston Weir.

Friend and animator Sophie Johnson-Hill joined the project to create ‘Dog, Duck & Fish’ – a whimsical tale, with actions and repeated lines that help little ones to understand how to stay safe around water.
