Gordon Slayney

From being a drummer and backing singer, a Club DJ, solo singer and radio presenter, Gordon has been familiar with having a microphone in front of him since his early 20s.

Gordon literally stumbled upon radio whilst living in Tenerife when a friend asked him to co-host a Saturday afternoon sports show. He then got the bug and progressed to his own shows on not one but two radio stations on the island.

The pandemic of 2020 saw him return to the UK but his passion for radio never left him and, in March 2024, he enrolled on the Erewash Sound presenter course as a refresher and now enjoys regular airtime – mainly as cover for other presenters at the moment.
