From Monday 15th June, wearing of face coverings became mandatory on all forms of public transport.


Buses: Passengers are also being reminded that from 15 June they will need to wear a face covering.  For the latest on service changes from Sunday 26th including improvements to the Ilkeston Flyer, Rainbow 1 and the twos, visit this link.  (See the latest timetables)

  • Derby Bus Station:  Derby bus station reopened as of week commencing Monday 8th June.  It works as a pick-up system only, with services coming into the City dropping passengers at on-street bus stops.  Derby City Council has said that it will be a phased approach as operators begin increasing their services across the city.  A number of safety restrictions will be put into place including a one-way system for pedestrians to ensure the safety of customers and drivers.   Passengers will enter from the Morledge and will leave via the River Gardens door.  Staff will be on the concourse to deal with enquiries .  The site will be open shortly before 8am and wil close immediately after the last service at 8pm.  The toilets shop and information office will remain closed

Access to the Derby bound A52 from The Wyvern will remain closed until summer 2020.

Bostocks Lane, Sandiacre - Access closed to the M1/A52 from Long Eaton
From June 1st 2020 for 10 weeks
Work to put an extra lane in around 200m from the M1 junction to help traffic access the roundabound more quickly is to resume from 1st June 2020, lasting around 10 weeks.   Work will take place Mondays to Saturdays.  Bostocks Lane will be closed northbound from the Sandiacre highways depot to the M1 roundabout while the work is carried out. Signposted diversions will be in place.  The alternative route is along Longmoor Lane, the B5010 Derby Road and Bostocks Lane.  The southbound side of the road will remain open but a temporary speed limit of 30mph - down from 60mph - will be in place.

Dale Abbey, Stanton-by-Dale, Sandiacre: surface dressing from 1st June for 8 weeks:
Derbyshire County Council is to surface dress 16 miles of roads starting on 1 June and will take around eight weeks to complete.  In Erewash, work will be carried out on in Dale Abbey and Stanton-by-Dale, Potato Pit Lane, from Woodpecker Hill / Dale Rd to junction to Boyah Grange Farm and in Dale Abbey, Stanton-by-Dale and Sandiacre at No Man's Lane from the junction to Boyah Grange Farm to entrance to Park Farm    However, extra rolling will take place because of the reduced amount of traffic on the roads.
