A fund which enables Derbyshire County councillors to support their local community is to be doubled to help tackle the rising cost of living.

A unique community scheme in which individuals offer their skills to help in return for those from others, is to return in the New Year after Derbyshire County Council awarded the responsibility for the Time Swap initiative to South Derbyshire CVS.
A wide range of community groups, clubs, local charities, and non-profit organisations have had a cash boost thanks to the Derbyshire Grants scheme since it was launched by Derbyshire County Council back in January.

Passengers using the Ilkeston Flyer bus service from trentbarton could see an increased number of people on board after the firm said it would stop running four loss-making routes which have been severely impacted by the pandemic and which have no prospect of attracting sufficient customers, with the Flyer service running through an area in which another has been cut.
