A nationwide project is appealing for volunteers in Erewash and the wider county to come forward and help with the final year of the National Bats in Churches Survey, an ambitious citizen science project to discover more about how and why bats are using churches.

A fifty-two year old woman who was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer in 2020 is sharing her story as part of Dying Matters Awareness Week from 2nd to 6th May to encourage people to have open and honest conversations about death, dying and bereavement.
