Investors opportunity to find out what Derbyshire has to offer at UK REIIF

Investors and developers are being encouraged to find out what Derbyshire can do for them next week as a delegation from Derbyshire County Council heads north to the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum in Leeds.

Better known as UKREiiF, the forum is the UK’s leading event on the property and investment calendar, and it comes hot on the heels of the latest Invest in Derbyshire campaign launched last week to showcase a portfolio of development opportunities worth billions of pounds to grow investment in the county’s economy.

Leader of Derbyshire County Council Councillor Alan Graves is among the delegation attending UKREiiF, which opens on Tuesday 19th May.

Councillor Graves said: “Last week we launched our new investment prospectus with more than 30 sites and billions of pounds of opportunity across advanced manufacturing, logistics and the visitor economy.

“Derbyshire is at the heart of the UK economy, offering businesses a powerful combination of central location, exceptional connectivity and a globally recognised industrial base.

“UKREiiF is the perfect opportunity for investors and property developers to come and talk to us about all Derbyshire has to offer.

Representatives from the county council will be on hand in the East Midlands Pavilion throughout the three-day event to chat to other delegates about development opportunities at spectacular sites, such as Smedley’s Hydro, a proposed hotel development in historic Matlock, and the former Drakelow power station transformation into a major mixed-use growth zone.

Delegates can also find out about additional benefits including Derbyshire’s status within the East Midlands Freeport and East Midlands Investment Zone.
