On Monday 6th July, the Long Eaton Natural History Society (LENS) will be staging another wildlife walk, this time to Upperdown Meadow.
To take part, meet at 11:00am at The Elephant Rooms, 36 South Street, Draycott. DE72 3PP, for a wildlife walk stroll around the meadow and woodland which has been purchased for nature recovery and outdoor well-being activities. The walk will be led by Sami Lawson.
Boots are advised as the ground may be wet or unstable after rainfall.
After the walk, visit the pop up cafe, open from 12noon to 4:00pm, for a coffee and/or a vegetarian lunch.
LENS Membership costs £25 per year for all events except those described as ‘specials’. Participation in all LENS Wildlife Walks cost £15. Each event costs £2.50 for visitors.
Walks are often on muddy or uneven ground. If the weather is uncertain, please check that the event is going ahead. Also, please note that photographs may be taken during Wildlife Walks for publication on facebook.
