Grant funding of £750k to be made available for innovative road safety projects

The Road Safety Trust has released details of its forthcoming Large Grants round, opening in April 2026, with funding of up to £200,000 for innovative and high impact road safety projects. No rise in garden waste fee – so grab a £25 deal from Erewash Borough Council before 31st March

Erewash Borough Council has announced NO rise in its charge for emptying garden waste bins – and wants residents to grab the same money-saving £25 deal as last year. The fortnightly brown bin collections resume at the start of March after their winter break, meaning households who signed up in 2025 will have two further collections before needing to resubscribe from 1st April.
