The Mayor of Erewash is to set off in a Reliant Robin on a near 2,000-mile tour of the borough’s three twin towns – pausing at the Nurburgring to race the three-wheeler around Germany’s most notorious motorsports circuit. Parents across Derbyshire find out about their child’s secondary school place for September today (Monday 2nd March). The county council has made offers of places to just under 9,000 Derbyshire children on what is called National Offer Day Of those parents who applied by the closing date 94.8% per cent have been offered their first preference school.
