Employers across Derbyshire are being encouraged to sign up for a free service that brings health checks directly into the workplace, making it easier for staff to understand their health and take action early if needed. Available to workplaces across Derbyshire (excluding Derby City), the service is free for both employers and employees. Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is emphasising the importance of the safe handling and disposal of cigarettes and other smoking materials, after firefighters attended more than 150 smoking-related accidental dwelling fires between 2020 and 2025.
