Local developer submits planning for Long Eaton mill restoration

A local developer has stepped in to help restore a Long Eaton landmark after submitting an application for planning permission. ALB Group purchased Bridge Mills in Derby Road, Long Eaton in 2021 with a view to transforming the three-storey, former lace factory into residential development. CrossCountry trains Service Delivery Director Nick Westcott, has issued a statement after the CrossCountry network was severely impacted by Storm Goretti with several routes not in operation this morning. In 2025, the Your Air Ambulance charity flew almost 1,000 missions in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, providing care from the air to those who need help in the fastest time possible. Heritage charity sparks fresh optisism for historic Erewash buildings

The Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust (DHBT) has expressed its collective excitement after announcing an innovative project to safeguard endangered heritage buildings which will expand into Erewash during January 2026, thanks to The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
