Economic growth, new homes and jobs across Derbyshire could be put at risk if the Government drops planned improvements to three major A38 junctions, Derbyshire County Council has warned. The county council is urging ministers to reconsider proposals to remove the A38 Derby Junctions scheme from the national road investment programme. A frustrated motorist has said he’s in dispute with Derby chiefs after being fined for entering the city’s number one spot for bus lane fines. Derby’s Alstom signs £1 billion contracts for battery-electric trains

Derby train-maker Alstom has signed contracts worth more than £1 billion to supply and maintain Britain’s first mainline battery-electric trains.
