Young musicians tune up to take centre stage at Derby Concerts

Thousands of young musicians from across Derby and Derbyshire are tuning up to take centre stage for two local performances of a lifetime. Around 3,500 pupils from primary and junior schools will join a professional orchestra for two concerts taking place at Derby Arena. 400 homes next to A52 still on table despite traffic concern

Plans to build at least 400 homes next to the A52 in Derby remain a realistic possibility, despite “strong opposition” from the public over traffic concerns. A nursing lecturer who led an innovative emergency simulation to prepare students for real-life crises has won a major national award. E-scooter seizures continue in Derbyshire

Derbyshire Police officers continue to seize illegal scooters on county roads, with 31 escooters confiscated in April - the equivalent of one taken off the streets every day.
