A warning has been issued after a new parking restriction came into force following road safety concerns on a Derby route. But questions have been asked whether it will be properly enforced. 400 Derby College students learn how to save a life on Restart a Heart Day

Almost 400 students and staff at Derby College Group (DCG) now have the skills to save a life, after taking part in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training to mark Restart a Heart Day on Friday 16th October. The sessions at The Roundhouse were led by Michael Grange, a Teacher of Construction at DCG, who volunteers with St John Ambulance and Belper Community First Responders. ‘Eyesore’ sandbags removed in Derby City Centre

Sandbags branded an “eyesore” at one of Derby’s busiest traffic hotspots have been removed. Concerns were raised that the large sacks made Cockpit Island – one of the city centre’s main gateways – a “builder’s yard”. Transport Secretary gives A38 update

The Transport Secretary expects a big decision on the future of the A38 to be made by the end of the year. The Government has proposed cancelling a major project to expand the A38 to help tackle congestion problems on the busy Derby road.
