Trams for Derby campaigners ‘left in dark’

Campaigners looking to bring a tram network across Derby claim they have been “left in the dark” over their proposals. The Light Rail Transit Association (LRTA) launched its vision to deliver a tram system for the city in April this year. The family and friends of a young man who died in a collision in Draycott have paid tribute to a 'one of a kind, delightful young man.' George Barton died following a collision in Derby Road at around 8.15pm on Sunday 6th September. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and died the following morning. Derbyshire Constabulary has announced the appointment of a new PC for the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team. PC Paul Sheldon will serve in the Long Eaton Rural District which includes Breaston, Borrowash, Draycott, Ockbrook, Risley and Stanton by Dale.
