New PC for Long Eaton SNT

Derbyshire Constabulary has announced the appointment of a new PC for the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team. PC Paul Sheldon will serve in the Long Eaton Rural District which includes Breaston, Borrowash, Draycott, Ockbrook, Risley and Stanton by Dale. A police officer for over 10 years, he has carried out most of his work so far in Derby, as a response officer before joining Erewash SNT in March this year. Mayor’s 3-wheel tour is boost no.2 for Scouts

A mad-cap three-wheel charity stunt by Erewash’s Mayor has given a second boost to the thriving local Scouts movement – hot on the heels of a council grant making a “massive difference” for hundreds of the organisation’s big-hearted and adventurous youngsters. A campaign has been launched to bring “transformational” trams back to Derby for the first time in almost a century. Police officers in Erewash have taken to social media to report having seen a rise in theft-related crime in the Long Eaton rural area, specifically including Borrowash, Breaston and Draycott.
