CPRE (The Campaign to Protect Rural England) Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, the countryside charity dedicated to protecting and enhancing local green spaces for everyone to enjoy, is marking the 100th anniversary of the wider CPRE organisation.

Local representatives are marking the centenary of championing the countryside and the places people value most, by inviting communities across the two counties to get involved in the Living Countryside Awards, which recognise the individuals, groups and projects making a positive difference to local landscapes.

The awards include a range of categories, including a photography competition open to everyone, with prizes of up to £250. Nominations are completely free, and people can put themselves forward or nominate others. The aim is simply to shine a light on the brilliant work happening across our counties.

It’s a great opportunity to celebrate community action and encourage more people to get involved during this landmark year for CPRE.  Category winners will each pick up £250.

Nominations close on 31st May.
