Erewash Museum Steampunk – A Victorian Adventure of Gears & Imagination

This event is themed around ‘Steampunk’, a subgenre of science fiction inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery.

Come along to our steampunk event and dust off your top hats, polish your goggles, and wind up your clockwork contraptions! The Erewash Museum is transforming for a spectacular day of antique-futuristic fun. Whether you’re a lifelong steampunk enthusiast, a family looking for a unique day out, or just creatively curious, this is an adventure you won’t want to miss.

Prepare to be amazed by a splendid fusion of Victorian history and sci-fi fantasy. We have an incredible lineup of entertainment scheduled throughout the day: live performances, a spectacular magic show (witness illusions that defy explanation!) and steampunk surprises, so keep your eyes peeled for mechanical marvels and unexpected delights around every corner! Visitors of all ages are highly encouraged to dress up in their finest steampunk attire. Think corsets and coats, gears and gadgets, lace and leather!

Delivered in partnership with The Friends of Erewash Museum, this event is the perfect blend of community spirit and creative wonder. Come along, marvel at the costumes, enjoy the entertainment, and make some fantastic memories.
