Community praised for coming together to clear fallen tree in Risley

Officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team have thanked those who took part in a collective effort to clear a major road of a fallen tree.

The incident affected Derby Road though Risley, but the matter was soon dealt with after members of the local community, a restaurant and a local landscaping company came together to get the road cleared.  According to social media, the fallen tree was a ‘conker’ or horse chestnut tree.
