Charity 18 hour marathon of tennis, padel and pickleball - Alek, Marley & Molly Erewash Sound
A Derby woman who was arrested at a Long Eaton property has been handed a custodial sentence, along with a a Stapleford women, both of whom faced charges related to theft.
Aimi Turner from Drewery Lane in the city was detained by local Safer Neighbourhood Team Police Officers, at a Grasmere Road property this week. The 38-year old was subsequently charged with 16 counts of theft from retail premises in the Long Eaton and Erewash area, and appeared in court where she was handed a 6-month custodial sentence.
Additionally, Charlie Pearse, from Bailey Street in Stapleford, was also arrested on Briar Gate in Long Eaton. The 38-year old was already wanted for and charged with 19 counts of shop theft, largely in the Sandiacre and Long Eaton areas and appeared before magistrates where he was also handed a 6-month custodial sentence.
