Police office assaulted in Long Eaton after responding to anti-social behaviour by e-bike and moped users

A Police officer has been assaulted whilst responding to an incident of anti-social behaviour involving e-bike and moped users in Long Eaton.

At around 8:15pm on Wednesday 9th September, an on-duty officer attended the scene at at a drive through restaurant on Waverley Street to investigate the matter.

Whilst detaining a young male on an e-bike, the officer suffered injuries after an assault to the face, arms and legs.

The male was last seen heading in the direction of another drive-through restaurant on the opposite side of the road on the Cross Street Retail Park, leaving behind his e-bike, mobile phone and right trainer.

The officer was able to recover the e-bike which can be seen on our website, along with video stills of the male.
