Police officers from the Erewash Safer Neighbourhood Team have executed a warrant on a suspected cannabis grow at a property in Long Eaton.
The action was taken on Friday 11th April following reports of suspicious activity from members of the local community around Tamworth Road.
Two males aged 33 and 20 were arrested and a large-scale cannabis grow consisting of approximately 140 mature plants was seized as part of the investigation. Significant rewiring had been carried out to provide power for the illegal activities in an upper room of the property.
Officers have offered their thanks to residents and members of the community for coming together to help tackle crime within their area.
A statement said that such reports were always taken very seriously and that local Police officers were determined to stamp out drug related crime and organised criminality from our neighbourhoods.
