23/12/2022: An Ilkeston centenarian has been speaking to Erewash Sound shortly before reaching 108 years of age on Christmas Eve.
23/12/2022: A further 50 people have been arrested in Derbyshire as part of the Derbyshire Police Christmas drink and drug driving campaign, taking the total so far to more than 80.

23/12/2022: Ahead of the festive season, Derbyshire Police have issued a reminder to members of the public buying e-scooters as a gift this year.  With their use ongoing in both Derby and Nottingham as part of a public trial, they are being seen by some as a commodity that can be openly used, when the reality is that they are, in fact, otherwise illegal to use on public streets outside of the two cities.

20/12/2022: A statement from the East Midlands Chamber has said that chronic under-investment from central Government had demonstrated that it was time for policymakers to “back the East Midlands to back the UK”.
19/12/2022: Derbyshire County Council wants to make sure that health care appointments are as easy to access as possible for Derbyshire residents so has set up a three month scheme offering free transport to a variety of routine health appointments including vaccination appointments and some screening programmes, and is open to all ages and is not means tested so you do not need to be receiving benefits to be eligible.
