15/03/2022: The East Midlands’ unemployment rate has hit a fresh new low at 3.1% for the period between November 2021 and January 2022, new figures show. 
14/03/2022: Erewash Borough Council has been working to anticipate and manage a sharp rise in residents trying to get in touch after the delivery of more than 62,000 council tax and business rates letters from 14th March.

11/03/2022: Over the last few weeks, we've been asking you to take just five minutes to complete our early 2022 on-line listener survey to gather views on what you like listening to on Erewash Sound, what you would like to hear more of and other elements too.  For those participating, there was a chance to win one of a number of high street shopping vouchers and we can now reveal who the lucky winners were from the prize draw.  Before we do though, whether you won or not, we'd just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who got involved and to assure you that we'll be considering all of your comments and how we might be able to apply them on-air!
11/03/2022: Derbyshire residents are to be asked for their views on plans to change support to help more people lead safe, independent lives in their own homes for longer.
10/03/2022: Derbyshire County Council Cabinet members, working closely with the Police and Crime Commissioner Angelique Foster, have brought forward an important new initiative to promote the use of Speed Indicator Devices on Derbyshire’s roads, which will make this type of vehicle-activated sign more accessible to parishes and community groups
10/03/2022: Councillors have given the go-ahead to consult on changes which could transform support for people with learning disabilities and/or who are autistic to help them lead independent lives.
NHS Blood and Transplant
10/03/2022: As more than 4,600 people, including 79 patients in Derbyshire, wait for a kidney transplant, and with this figure expected to rise, NHS Blood and Transplant is calling on everyone in Derbyshire to share their organ donation decision and also take a moment to consider living kidney donation to coincide with World Kidney Day (Thursday 10th March 2022).
10/03/2022: Park Run - a free 5k timed run organised each week by a team of volunteers - is staged at West Park in Long Eaton (meeting by the Rugby Club) and Shipley Country Park (meeting near the visitors centre)
10/03/2022: Tea, Laughter and Cake (TLC) is a friendly group open to everyone on Monday afternoons from 1pm to 3pm at the Kirk Hallam Community Centre on Kenilworth Drive in Kirk Hallam.  Come along for a chat and a giggle - as well as free cakes!
10/03/2022: 'Let’s Sing' - the community singing group for everyone has started again at the Community Centre on Kenilworth Drive in Kirk Hallam from 10am to 12noon on Tuesdays - free for everyone, led by Chris Ebbern.  All are welcome.
