Derbyshire Police officers have issued crime prevention advice to motorists after a series of keyless car thefts in South Derbyshire, one affecting the Erewash borough. Investigations are underway after four suspected ‘relay theft’ incidents in which Kia vehicles have been targeted over several days. Vehicle seized in Ilkeston over ‘suspicious driving’, found to have false number plates

A Police patrol in Ilkeston led to the seizure of a vehicle which had been seen being driven in a suspicious manner. The incident in the town centre led to further enquiries and checks being made on the vehicle which revealed it was being driven on false number plates and was also in a non-road-worthy condition.
