A mad-cap three-wheel charity stunt by Erewash’s Mayor has given a second boost to the thriving local Scouts movement – hot on the heels of a council grant making a “massive difference” for hundreds of the organisation’s big-hearted and adventurous youngsters. Eurovision artwork king sets sights on Erewash

A highly acclaimed artist famed for his large-scale Merseyside mural celebrating Eurovision has been sizing up walls in Erewash – after being commissioned by the council to bring his inspirational magic to three sites in the borough. New fund to help Derbyshire householders with the rising cost of fuel

A new fund is being launched by Derbyshire County Council to support vulnerable households who rely on heating oil or bottled gas, with the rising costs of fuel. Crime prevention advice issued after keyless car thefts

Derbyshire Police officers have issued crime prevention advice to motorists after a series of keyless car thefts in South Derbyshire, one affecting the Erewash borough. Investigations are underway after four suspected ‘relay theft’ incidents in which Kia vehicles have been targeted over several days. Vehicle seized in Ilkeston over ‘suspicious driving’, found to have false number plates

A Police patrol in Ilkeston led to the seizure of a vehicle which had been seen being driven in a suspicious manner. The incident in the town centre led to further enquiries and checks being made on the vehicle which revealed it was being driven on false number plates and was also in a non-road-worthy condition.
