The US-born Deputy Mayor of Erewash Borough Council has been using a holiday in his home town of Pittsburgh to champion the borough as a great place to do business. CCTV stills have been released showing a man wanted for questioning n relation to the theft of a car in Borrowash. The incident happened between 2:00pm on Sunday 25th January and 6:45am on Monday 26th January when two men stole a grey Range Rover from outside the Methodist Church in Church Row. Horses euthanised after tragic A52 incident

Two horses have reportedly been euthanised after an incident on a busy road through the borough involving a number of vehicles. On Sunday 15th February, traffic was stopped in both directions of the A52 between the A5111 and the M1 junction 25, after the animals got on to the carriageway.
