Derbyshire Police give update on man arrested following Derby incident

The man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the incident in Derby city centre on Saturday evening remains in police custody.

Detectives are continuing their inquiries having been granted an extension to the time that the man arrested can be held for.

Seven people were injured during the incident and sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. All were taken to hospital and two have since been discharged.

Police officers remain keen to speak anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage that can assist with the investigation.
