A 29-year old from Ilkeston is set to compete in the Manx Grand Prix in August on the Isle of Man, which covers the same famous 37 mile mountain course used by the TT race. E-scooter seizures continue in Derbyshire

Derbyshire Police officers continue to seize illegal scooters on county roads, with 31 escooters confiscated in April - the equivalent of one taken off the streets every day. A mad-cap three-wheel charity stunt by Erewash’s Mayor has given a second boost to the thriving local Scouts movement – hot on the heels of a council grant making a “massive difference” for hundreds of the organisation’s big-hearted and adventurous youngsters. A man has been charged following an alleged armed robbery in Ilkeston. Derbyshire Police officers were called to reports of a man having threatened staff at the One Stop shop in Charlotte Street at around 6:45pm on 1st May before taking a till and running from the store.
