A mad-cap three-wheel charity stunt by Erewash’s Mayor has given a second boost to the thriving local Scouts movement – hot on the heels of a council grant making a “massive difference” for hundreds of the organisation’s big-hearted and adventurous youngsters. An extra £4.5million is set to be invested in Erewash, meaning a total of £6.5m will be spent to improve life for people in the borough. Vehicle seized in Ilkeston over ‘suspicious driving’, found to have false number plates

A Police patrol in Ilkeston led to the seizure of a vehicle which had been seen being driven in a suspicious manner. The incident in the town centre led to further enquiries and checks being made on the vehicle which revealed it was being driven on false number plates and was also in a non-road-worthy condition.
