Ilkeston Police Officers are appealing for help from the public to trace a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with an incident of criminal damage. Despite carrying out extensive inquiries, officers have been unable to trace 50-year old Dean Bryson who comes from the town. Bin lorry with smouldering load gets fire engine escort

Two fire engines have escorted a bin lorry back to its Erewash depot after its load began smouldering from something in the rubbish. The borough council’s eagle-eyed refuse crew spotted smoke so pulled over and immediately summoned help. 25 arrests made after a targeted operation in Erewash

Twenty-five people have been arrested after drugs, weapons and cash were taken off the streets of Erewash during a targeted operation. Focusing on drug dealing in the area, both uniformed and plain clothes officers stopped and searched 52 people and 13 vehicles – leading to nine weapons, including a knuckle duster, knives, and a baton being seized. Police seize illegal cigarettes, tobacco and a vehicle used in crime

Police Officers from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Team seized over £4,000 worth of illegal cigarettes and tobacco and a vehicle that was used in crime.
