Michael Dallard from Long Eaton had been training for the London Marathon this weekend after receiving a place through his employer.
But the entry was unexpectedly removed from him due to involvement with ongoing industrial action.
Leaving him angry but undeterred, Michael is undertaking his own personal marathon around East Midlands Airport on Sunday to raise money for local charities.

Members of the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team have set a list of priorities for the start of 2024 to be worked on along side their core daily workload, monitoring current and emerging trends and listening to views gained through community engagement.
