Positive stop-search by Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Police Officers

Plain-clothes officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team have taken action after a patrol in and around the town led to suspicious activity being identified.

On Bonsall Street, officers observed a brief interaction between two males, and believed that a drug deal was taking place.

A suspected dealer was swiftly detained for a stop and search after which, a large quantity of cash and quantities of suspected crack cocaine and heroin were found.

A 45-year old male was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. The suspect was released pending further inquiries.
